Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Pipefitters for projects located in and around Newport News, VA . This is an opportunity with all shifts available and the pay rate is up to $29.50/hour based on experience and skill level plus $120/per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:

• Fitting carbon steel CRES and copper nickel piping

• Hand prep V bevels

• Install pipe hangers

• Clean, cut/break pipe with a grinder

• Fit brazed joints with/without insert ring

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen to obtain badging

• Must pass a life time background check and pre employment drug screen

• Minimum of 3+ years experience as a Marine commercial nuclear or petro/chem First Class Pipefitter

• Able to read and interpret ship piping drawings

• Ability to end prep piping by hand and/or with Wach or Portsmouth Machine

• Ability to prep and fitup backing rings

• Ability to read a ruler using inches and tenths

• Ability to clean cut/break pipe with a grinder

• Experience in fabrication of various details and assemblies from drawings

• Ability to bend pipe from template and in the use of a hand bender

• Ability to fit welded sockets

• Ability to fit brazed joints with/without insert ring
